Early Saturday, morning firefighters from Pricetown and Pleasant Grove along with a medic unit from Duplin County were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle accident on the Willie Best Road just inside of the Duplin/Wayne Counties line on the Duplin side. The call came in as a possible pin-in, but as firefighters arrived on the scene, it turned out to be an entrapment. The female driver managed to free herself from the seatbelt but was unable to get out of the overturned vehicle. Pricetown firefighters had to use their tools to pop open the door to free the driver. She was checked out by Duplin EMS and refused transport to the hospital. The vehicle was heading south on Camp Jubilee Road, crossed the county line on Willie Best Road where she ran off the right shoulder of the road, ran up through the ditch along the treeline, struck a tree, and overturned in the ditch. The accident is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol.
