December 31, 2021, 63, Lucama –

Deborah Gail Evans, 63, of Lucama, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Wilson Medical Center surrounded by her family. Deborah was born in New Hanover County on January 27, 1958 to the late Henry Bryant Evans and Judy Hawley Evans.

In addition to her parents, Deborah is preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky Evans and Danny Evans.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Jessica McDaniels and husband Rigo of Bailey; son, Jason McDaniels of Cherryville; grandsons, Joshua Martinez, Santiago Morales; one brother, Andy Evans; two sisters, Angel Worley of Lucama, Tammy Weaver and husband Floyd of Kenly; a special niece and nephew whom she loved as her own, Tiffany Bridgers, Ricky Junior Evans, and several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Deborah was a loving mother, granny, sister, and friend. She enjoyed shopping, watching TV and movies while eating popcorn with her grandchildren, and cooking delicious homemade food, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
