(GDN) — Wayne County’s unemployment rate continues its downward trajectory. According to the latest figures from the N.C. Department of Commerce, Wayne County’s seasonally unadjusted jobless rate dropped to 3.6% in November. That’s down from the 3.9% rate recorded in October, and well-improved from the 6.1% unemployment rate reported in November of 2020. The new numbers show over 1,800 of Wayne County’s nearly 52,000 person workforce were considered unemployed in November.
