(GDN) — In what has been a rare occurrence of late, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners will hold an evening meeting today (Tuesday).  In late 2022, the commissioners agreed to hold one evening meeting per quarter in the new year in an effort to attract more attendance and allow for more participation from the public.  Today’s county board meeting begins with an agenda briefing at 4 PM followed by the formal meeting of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners starting at 5 PM.

UPDATE: Tonight’s meeting will be held remotely pursuant to NCGS § 166A-19.24. Members of the public may access the remote meeting online at https://www.youtube.com/c/WayneCountyGovernment. The public is still invited to attend the meeting in person. The meeting is being held in the Commissioners Meeting Room on the fourth floor of the Wayne County Courthouse.
