Henry Carroll Grady, 83, of the Scott’s Store area near Mount Olive, passed away Sunday evening, December 26, 2021, at the home of a son.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 29, at 3 p.m. at the Grady Family Cemetery near the residence. The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery, and at other times, they will be at the Hank Grady residence.
Mr. Grady had been a truck driver, having been employed with Frosty Morn, followed by the Mt.Olive Pickle Company. As a hobby he became an auctioneer and began having auction sales which evolved into a business, Grady Auction House.
Surviving family includes three sons, Hank Grady and wife, Gail, Kenny Grady, and Brandon Grady, all of the Scott’s Store area, Mount Olive; eight grandchildren, Haley, Danielle, Buddy, Kylie Jo, and Nick Grady, Alex Thames, and Laken and Justin Boone; a great-grandson, Jameson Grady; and a sister, Carolyn G. Gautier of Scott’s Store.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Manning Grady; a daugher, Pamela Louise Grady; and his parents, Carl and Thelma Henderson Grady.
