Rains Fail To Ease Local Drought Conditions

(GDN) — Drought conditions persist across North Carolina despite recent rains.   According to this week’s map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, Wayne and Lenoir counties remains in an area of the state listed in “Severe Drought.”  Much of the rest of North Carolina is in “Moderate Drought” while the western most area of the state is listed as “Abnormally Dry.”
