Jeffrey Kent Corbett, 59, passed away at Wayne UNC Healthcare on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Born in Wayne County on August 23, 1962, he was the son of the late William E. Corbett and Joyce Cole Corbett.

Kent is survived by his brothers, Keith Corbett and Kris Corbett; nieces, Tonya (Carter) Dunlap, Tabitha (Ryan) Ingram; and Trinity Corbett; nephews, Chad Corbett, and Cody (Haylee) Corbett; and his 6 great-nieces and nephews.

When he was able, Kent loved spending time on the golf course or going down to the beach. On Sunday afternoons, football was the main topic of conversation between him and his brothers. Kent’s love for his family is something they will always remember and cherish.

A memorial service to celebrate Kent’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel at Seymour Funeral Home with Cody Corbett presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
