Students Show Off Artwork At Goldsboro Boys & Girls Club (PHOTO GALLERY)

(GDN) — The Boys and Girls Club in Goldsboro hosted a student art show on Friday.

It was the culmination of a six week art program at the club sponsored by the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Through the NCMA Artist Innovation Mentorship Program, teaching artists worked with kids at the Boys and Girls Club two times a week.

Angela Lombardi, Director of Outreach and Audience Engagement with the NCMA, says once one six week art program wraps up at the club, another will begin focusing on a different medium.

This time, the students had worked in photography.

Lombardi says NCMA covers the costs for this program.

The NCMA transformed the club’s Art Room into a mini gallery to show off the students’ work.

The students were also able to take home framed photos of their artwork at the end of the day.
