December 6, 2021, 60, Goldsboro –
Gregory Lynn “Freight” Farrington, age 60, passed away on Monday, December 6th at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Alamance County, he was the son of Shirley Graves Farrington and the late Broadrick Dudley Worth. He graduated from Graham High School in 1980 and was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Marines.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the Alamance Funeral Service in Burlington with a viewing at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at the Children’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Graham. A viewing will also be held on Friday from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro with the family being present from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
In addition to his mother, Shirley, “Freight” is survived by a daughter, Nala Watson; two brothers, Timothy Baldwin and Randy Baldwin; two sisters, Gwendolyn Farrington and Bethany Davis. Gregory resided with his cousins, Clifton and Lagail Broadhurst.
