A power outage has left over 1,000 Duke Energy customers in the dark on the eastern side of Goldsboro. Duke Energy says the electrical outage was caused by a vehicle damaging its equipment. Over 1,300 customers were without power as of 6:30 PM. The power disruption stretched from west of Rosewood to the I-795 and U.S. 70 interchange.
