November 23, 2021, 86, Goldsboro –

Millie Claudette Chandler Kepley, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Brian Center Health & Rehab in Goldsboro. Born in Stanly County on November 18, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Coy Vester and Blanche Springer Chandler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray Kepley.

Millie is survived by her sons, David Kepley of Wilmington and Danny Kepley of Goldsboro; grandson, Micheal Kepley; sisters, Peggy Davis and husband, Doug of Albemarle and Kay Harrington; and brother, Roger Chandler.

Millie retired from First Citizens Bank in Goldsboro where she worked in management. She was an excellent cook and baker. Millie was a loving and supportive mother and always kept up to date and attended her sons sporting events. She worshipped at Adamsville Baptist Church where she was an active member.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Millie’s life at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Pat Kilby officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
