Ms. Mary L. Strong, 61, passed on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00pm at Winn Chapel Church, 110 Smith Street, Mt. Olive, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Park at a later date.

She was born November 29, 1959, in Brooklyn NY, to the late Amy Lee Strong and James Russell. She is survived by four children: Annie Strong of the home, Devon Kornegay, Pamela Strong and Avery Strong all of NC; one sister, Betty Strong of New York; one brother, Ellery Strong of NC; seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
