Ruben Edward Huggins, 60, of Kinston, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, surrounded by his family. Ruben was the son of Ruby Scott Huggins of Kinston and the late Thomas Edward Huggins. He was the owner and operator of Tom’s Septic Tank Service of Kinston. He was an avid boatsman; he loved to be on the water. He loved hard work. Most of all, he loved the Lord with all his heart. He faithfully attended Bethel Free Will Baptist Church until the end, watching services online.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 7:00 pm with Pastor Chris Truett and Pastor Tommy Tripp officiating. Burial will be Thursday, November 18, at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 pm on Wednesday night before the service. The family respectfully requests that guests wear masks and practice social distancing throughout the visitation.

In addition to his mother, Ruben is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Angela Reynolds Huggins; daughter Ashley Fordham and husband, Justin of Snow Hill; and daughter Heather Sloan and husband, Stephen of Kinston. He is also survived by grandchildren Daniel and Tiffani Fordham; sister, Lisa Barefoot and husband Andy, special nephew Drew Barefoot; and special mother-in-law, Mary Reynolds; special sisters-in-law and special brothers-in-law, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
