November 15, 2021, 70, Calypso –

James Thomas Wolfe, Sr., known to most as Jimmie Wolfe, passed away early Monday morning, November 15, 2021, at his home at Calypso. He was 70.

Jimmie was a farmer who loved the land, his home, and his family. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and the many friendships he had made through the years. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music at the local Woodmen lodge and at J. W.’s Place. Too, enjoyed a good game of golf at Southern Wayne Country Club.

Jimmie was the son of the late James Norman Wolfe and Mary Elizabeth Albritton Wolfe, and he was their only child.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Ritchie Wolfe, of the home; his son, James Thomas Wolfe, Jr. and wife, Kim, and two grandchildren, J. T. Wolfe and Katherine Wolfe, all of Calypso.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov 17, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Minister Coy Brock will lead the service. The family will receive friends during the hour before the service.

In lieu of any flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the charity of one’s choosing.
