Savannah Barwick has been named the new Resource Development Director for the United Way of Wayne County. This position helps manage, organize, and implement the overall planning of the annual campaign for the United Way of Wayne County. This position also provides event management, marketing, and communications to ensure United Way of Wayne County meets their mission of uniting people and resources to build a stronger community.

Savannah has spent the last ten years dedicating her time to the health and betterment of animals through training and medicine. Prior to that, she worked with a non-profit to help raise and train service dogs for civilians and veterans with disabilities. Savannah was born and raised in Goldsboro and can’t wait to help continue to support our community.

Barwick shared “Over the years, I have found that we can accomplish anything when we work as a team, each one of us can make a difference, but together we can make a change,” she said. Savannah knows that with this shared mentality, the United Way of Wayne County is a perfect match.

Sherry Archibald, Executive Director stated “With Savannah’s love for helping others and her connection to Wayne County, she will excel in this role.”. Archibald added, “Although our annual campaign is coming to an end, we can’t wait for her to jump in and gear up for a new year!”
