Deeper Life Church Ministries, 900 Eleventh Street in Goldsboro, continues its mission and vision to Impact the City of Goldsboro. A Thanksgiving Food Give Away will take place in the church parking lot this Saturday, November 20, from 11 AM – 1 PM or until the food runs out.
“God always keeps his word. He gives justice to the poor and food to the hungry,” stated Dr. Aaron McNair, II, Senior Pastor of DLCM. “This Thanksgiving Holiday continues to be a season of “not enough” as gas prices continue to soar. Food prices are at an all time high. The covid delta virus is still alive and well. Our DLCM members and greater Wayne County residents need help, and DLCM is happy to be of service.”
As a part of addressing spiritual needs, DLCM ministers will be on hand for those who desire prayer during these trying time.
Just like Impacting the City in 2020, DLCM continued its City Impact in 2021:
- January 23, 2021- A Load On Us- where DLCM paid for laundry at five different locations in Goldsboro, Fremont, Dudley and Mt. Olive.
- Barber On Us, blessed persons with haircuts in Goldsboro and Mt. Olive
- February 2021- Meals On Us- served meals to teachers at 3 locations
- March 27, 2021- Love Blitz- randomly blessed persons with money at 3 locations
- April 3, 2021- Gas On Us- blessed 500 people with $15 gift cards at 3 locations
- May 1, 2021- Care Packages distributed to the homeless
- June 19, 2021- DLCM Loves the 919- Juneteenth Carnival & Celebration
- July 29, 2021- DLCM hosted Red Cross and Goldsboro-Wayne NAACP blood drive
- August 22, 2021- DLCM hosted Alpha Kappa Alpha International Day of Prayer observance
- September 2021- Meals On Us #2
- September 21, 2021- awarded fifteen DLCM Black Business Owners with $200 checks
- November 14, 2021- recognized active and retired military in observance of Veterans Day
- Sunday, December 19, 2021- 10:00 AM worship service- Toy Give-Away for members and guests attending the worship service with children. Toys are for children 0-12 years old.
