Connie Gray Pope, 56, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Signature Health Care in Kinston. She was born in Wayne County on March 23, 1965 to the late James Earl Pope and Margaret Turnage Pope.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Connie is survived by her wife, Jeanette Carter; brother, John Earl Pope and Carol Montoya; sisters, Lynn Walston, Robin Pope and brother-in-law, Kenneth Brewer; nieces and nephews, Casey Walston and husband, Micheal Bass and kids, Braydence and Gunner Bass, Christopher Walston and wife, Megan Ansty and kids, Cheyenne and Abel Walston, Maranda Radford and husband, David Radford and kids, Justin, Carly, Kyle, David and Everette Radford, Nicholus Pope and wife, Heather Pope and kids, Raylen, Will, Kyle and Jackson Pope, and Chaden Lancaster.
