Kristin Brooke Herring, 32, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Although her departure from this life was unexpected and seems unfair, her welcome in Heaven had been prepared and she was so blessed to see her mama again. Kristin was born in Wayne County to Glenn Herring of Seven Springs and the late Wanda H. Herring on January 28, 1989.

Learning early in life from watching her mama, Kristin became an excellent cook. She enjoyed any time spent in the kitchen, regardless of the occasion. She was the ultimate chef. No matter the menu, the meal was always impeccable.

With an eye for beauty and a natural talent, Kristin could take a blank canvas and bring it to life with a little paint and a brush. From detailed landscapes to still-life compositions, her artistic abilities were the envy of all who enjoyed her artwork.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Stovall officiating.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her fiancée, James Ray; sister, Shannon H. Collings and husband Matthew; brother, Glenn Devin Herring and wife Kisha; niece and nephews, Joshua Kelly, Katelyn Kelly, Isaac Herring and Isaiah Herring; aunts and uncles, Gloria and David Keesee, Jewel and Ted Ivey, Elaine Herring, Edith and Orbin Wiggs, Betty Jo and Terry Walker, and Johnny and Diane Herring; and numerous cousins she loved very much including Amanda Hinnant and Claudia Carreno.
