Rebecca Leigh Justice Hedrick, 59, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, surrounded by her family. Born in Wake County on March 21, 1962, she was the daughter of Herbert Adin Justice and Julia Railey Justice.

In addition to her parents, Leigh is survived by her husband of 36 years, Greg Hedrick; sons, Gregory Hedrick, Jr. and wife, Mariah, Logan Hedrick, and Alex Hedrick; granddaughter, Isla Hedrick; and a sister, Michele Justice.

Leigh enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She had a gift for creating the most beautiful scrapbooks of important memories and events in the lives of her family. Family was paramount to Leigh, and that was evident in the love and dedication shown to those she cared for. Her sons were the lights of her life and she proudly home-schooled all three boys to see that they had a proper education. Leigh was a dedicated and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She had worshipped at Lake Hills Church in Candler where she was a member.

A service to celebrate Leigh’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at Seymour Funeral Home.
