Peyton Blalock scored the only goal of the game, and C.B. Aycock defeated Currituck County 1-0 in the first round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3A playoffs on Monday.

With the win, the Golden Falcons advanced to the second round for the first time since 2018.

The Golden Falcons will now travel to Croatan for their second-round matchup on Thursday.
