WCC Hosting WAGES Job Fair

WCC Hosting WAGES Job Fair

Wayne Community College will host a mini job fair featuring positions available at WAGES.

It will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 4 in the Atrium of the Wayne Learning Center on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro.

The fair is free and open to the public.

WAGES (Wayne Action Group for Economic Solvency) has 20 full- and part-time positions to fill. Those include teachers, social workers, kitchen staff, bus drivers, and administrative staff.

The fair will be a one-stop hiring event that will include screenings, online application stations, and on-site interviews conducted at different stations to preserve social distancing.

Job seekers can also use the college’s online career services platform, College Central Network, available at www.collegecentral.com/waynecc/. Once they register, users can search open positions, upload a résumé, and create a shareable portfolio to showcase examples of their work for employers.

Face masks are required on the WCC campus at all times indoors and when appropriate social distance cannot be maintained outside.

For more information, contact WCC Director of Career Development Elvira Johnson at 919-739-7005 or [email protected].
