On Friday, the Goldsboro Police Department arrested 34-year-old Donovan Wooton of Goldsboro on the 1600 block of E. Elm Street. Wooten is charged for the September 30th murder of 28-year-old Dashaunti L. Waters of Goldsboro. GPD officers were responding to a ShotSpotter alert on the 300 block of S. Leslie Street when they found a vehicle that had crashed into a residence on the 700 block of E. Walnut Street. Waters was found deceased inside the vehicle from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Wooten was placed into the custody of the Wayne County Jail without bond.
