Less Than 50% Of Wayne County’s Population Fully Vaccinated

While the number has stabilized, Wayne County continues to record hundreds of new coronavirus cases every week.  According to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, 448 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Wayne County over the past two weeks.  Wayne County has recorded 297 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began. 

Thursday’s figures from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services show 63,473 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Wayne County, which represents 52% of the county’s population.  56,782 people have been fully vaccinated, which is 46% of the population of Wayne County.
