Sylvia Serrano Moon, 64, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Manila, Philippines on February 21, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Boboles Serrano and Helen Conklin Serrano.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her siblings, Jeanette Serrano, Alfred Serrano, Evelyn Hagins, and Edward Serrano.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 45 years, Floyd Moon; daughter, Janet Haworth and husband, Aaron; and their children, Logan and Wyatt; son, Christopher Moon and wife, Mary; and their children, Shawn, Devin, Natalie, and Nathan; and sister, Patricia Aubrey.

Sylvia was a loving mother and grandmother. Her love and strength held her family together. Sylvia will be missed by all who knew her.

A time of remembrance and reflection will be held in a private setting for Sylvia’s family.
