Early Voting Begins Today In Wayne County

Early Voting for the November 2, 2021 Municipal & Sanitary District election begins today, Thursday, October 14. The only Early Voting location in Wayne County is the Wayne County Public Library, 1001 E. Ash Street in Goldsboro. Same Day Registration will be available during the Early Voting period with current proof of residency. See the full Early Voting schedule below.

A full candidate list and sample ballots are available at the Wayne County Board of Elections website, www.waynegov.com (Board of Elections).

As a reminder, this is a small election – only 33,000 of Wayne County’s 74,000 registered voters will be eligible for this election. To be eligible, voters must reside within one of the three participating municipalities (Towns of Pikeville, Seven Springs or Village of Walnut Creek) and/or five participating sanitary districts (Belfast-Patetown, Fork Township, Eastern Wayne, Southern Wayne or Southeastern Wayne). Voters may verify their eligibility using the NCSBE’s Voter Lookup Tool at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/ or by contacting the Board of Elections Office at 919-731-1411 / [email protected].

COVID-19 precautions will be the same for this election as last year’s General Election. PPE will be provided and all staff/precinct officials will wear masks. Per NCSBE directive, voters will not be required to wear masks in order to enter the polling location although election staff will have masks available if voters would like one.
