September 28, 2021, 45, Goldsboro –

Matthew Tyler Guy, age 45, passed away Tuesday morning as a result of complications resulting from being struck by an automobile in 1995. He was a graduate of Geneva High School and attended Enterprise Community College.  At the time of the accident, he was employed by Spikes Wholesale in Geneva, Alabama.  He resided at home with his loving family.  He was a member of Brogden United Methodist Church. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Matt is survived by his parents, Melton and Sue Guy; his sister and brother-in-law, Kacy and Shane Smith; his beloved niece, Taylor (TJ) Smith; 

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Theresa and Dana.

Flowers are welcome, however, Matt was a gentle, loving soul that would appreciate family and friends doing an act of kindness in his memory.
