Lois Mae Waters, 88, of Goldsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home.

No formal service will be held.

Mrs. Waters was born in Wayne County on June 26, 1933 to the late Felix and Helen Uzzell Sutton. She was a member of Woods Chapel United American Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband loving husband of 72 years, Thomas Sawyer Waters; two sisters, Minnie Ham of New Bern and Marion Joyner of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Willie Percell Faison and Helen Faison and four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Nina, J’Marcus and Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Velvelon Jean Faison.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
