Cross Country: WCDS Take Girls Portion Of CPIC Meet (PHOTO GALLERY)

Wayne Country Day’s Hannah Best turned in a first-place performance during a CPIC meet at Wayne Country Day on Monday.

Best ran a 24:08, and the while Macayla Gay (26:56) finished in ninth place. Abbey Greiman (28:32) and Gracyn Perry (28:50) took 15th and 16th place, respectively.

Wayne Christian’s Natalie Rheingruber finished in fourth place with a time of 26:44. A.J. Verme ran the course in 27:10 to finish in 10th, while Jordan Miller (27:20) and Hayli Verme finished in 11th and 12th, respectively.

Wayne Country Day’s girls won the girls’ meet with 60 team points as Wayne Christian finished with 60. to end up in second place. Wilson Christian had 69 points, and Greenfield finished with 100 points.

In the boys’ meet, Wayne Country Day claimed second with 43 points with Wilson Christian taking first with 39 points.

Wayne Country Day’s Shepherd Cowan took fourth overall with a 20:16. Jacob Gribbin (21:56) finished sixth. Mance Edmondson (22:18) took ninth, and Rigg Kinsey (22:25) ended up in 11th. Wayne Christian’s John Dean (21:18) claimed fifth.
