Wayne County Surpasses 58,000 With At Least One Vaccine Dose

Over 58,000 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Wayne County.  Thursday’s figures from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services show 58,102 people have received at least one vaccine dose, representing 47% of the county’s population.  50,247 people have been fully vaccinated, which is just 41% of Wayne County’s population.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to increase in Wayne County, with 843 new cases reported in the last 14 days.  Wayne County has now recorded 276 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began.
