A section of Friendly Drive west of Goldsboro will close Monday morning for approximately two weeks to allow for three drainage pipes to be replaced.

State transportation maintenance crews will replace the failing crossline pipes, which are between Rosewood and Braswell roads in the Rosewood community. Friendly Drive will be closed to through traffic in this vicinity.

A detour will send drivers onto Rosewood Road and N.C. 581 to reach Braswell Road, and vice versa.
Drivers should anticipate a longer commute and approach the work zone cautiously.
