Mildred Reed McMullen, 84, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Alleghany County on October 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Reed and Darlene McGuire Reed.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Alexander McMullen; sister, Geneva Boggues; and brother, Gary Reed.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Dani Miller; Susan Wiley and husband, Johnny, and Leigh Ann Woolsey and husband, Tom; son, Donald Alexander McMullen, Jr. and wife Marie; sister, Judith Brown; brother, James Reed; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mildred loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and worshiped at Park East Church of God. She was a proud patriotic American. Mildred loved and was extremely proud of her family. She loved animals and enjoyed spoiling her cats.

In abiding with Mildred’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
