Driver Charged With Felony Involuntary Manslaughter For May Crash

New charges are filed in a May fatal crash on a Wayne County highway.  The State Highway Patrol reports Christopher K. Blair of La Grange has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter for the May 25th collision on U.S. 70 at Oak Forest Road.  Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department were reportedly attempting to pull over Blair’s pickup when it slammed into a second vehicle and pushed it into an 18-wheeler tractor at the intersection.   3-year-old Ariel Soriano, a passenger in the second vehicle, died as a result of the crash.  Blair has already been charged by the GPD for reckless driving and driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.  He voluntarily surrendered himself for the new felony charge on Wednesday and was given a $10,000 secured bond.  Blair’s first appearance was in Wayne County Court on Wednesday.
