Organizers Seek Assistance For 2nd Annual HopesGiving Meal

Organizers are hoping to feed over 500 people during a community Thanksgiving meal this year.

The second annual HopesGiving meal is being planned for November 25th and will be held at the Dillard Goldsboro Alumni Building.

Ja’Shawn Faire, the founder of Hope For Goldsboro, says last year, they were overwhelmed by participation in the community meal.

This year, Faire says they’ve rented a bigger venue with the hope of serving even more residents.

The menu this year will include turkey, ham and grilled chicken.

Faire says they would love to serve anyone and everyone in the community, but they’re especially hopeful those that are homeless, low-income, or just missing spending Thanksgiving with their families will take part.

Volunteers will be needed to cook and serve, as well as just interacting with the guests.

You can donate, volunteer and learn more at HopeForGoldsboro.com or visit the group’s Facebook page.
