September 1, 2021, 62, Dudley –

Jennifer Gail Stroud, age 62, passed away Wednesday at Wayne/UNC Healthcare.  Born in Lawton, OK, she was the daughter of Margaret Jones Kornegay and the late Alton Stroud. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelvin Coates officiating.  The family will visit with family and friends following the service.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her best friend, Nellie Adams;  her Godchildren, Joseph Adams (Rebecca) and Jody Brock (Matt);  Nellie’s son, Scott Davidson (Michelle); brother, Rodney Stroud (Laurie); sister, Donna Rouse (Luther); step-brother, Lewis Kornegay; step-father, C.B. Kornegay; special grandchildren, Kaylee, Kassidy, Kaleb, Holden, Lucas, Douglas and Dylan;  special fur baby, “Stella”; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her special grandbaby, Marshall.
