Goldsboro Library’s “Live on the Lawn” Series Returns In October

The Wayne County Public Library’s popular free musical event series, Live on the Lawn, will return October 7th and will be held Thursday evenings in October from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at the Goldsboro Library’s Carolyn Baddour Garden, which is next to the library’s auditorium.

With Live on the Lawn, the library hopes to bring more local musicians into the spotlight. Artists scheduled to play include Daniel Baynes of 581 South (October 7th), T. Davis (October 14th), and Scott McConnaughey (October 21st), with more yet to be announced. Well behaved, leashed pets are allowed.

While the library provides seating, Goldsboro residents are invited to bring chairs and picnic blankets. This program was created out of the library’s desire to give the community a way to interact safely while relaxing and enjoying the arts. “It put me in such a good mood!” said Jessica Cole, who attended the summer series and shared photos on her Instagram. “I brought my lunch and had a picnic.”

These events are supported by the Library Foundation.
