Adolph Oscar Walston, Jr., 75, of Selma, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Adolph was born in Wayne County on October 5, 1945 to the late Adolph Oscar Walston, Sr. and Effie Godwin Walston.

In addition to his parents, Adolph is preceded in death by his infant son, Frankie Adolph Walston; brothers, Ray Walston, Douglas Walston, Donnie Walston, Billy Martin Walston, Ben Walston, Philip Walston; sisters, Betty Lou Walston, Jamie Grey Walston, Brenda Heath Walston; grandchild, Erika Wells; beloved dog, Peanut Walston, and other beloved family.

Adolph is survived by his partner in life, Linda Wilson; children’s mother, Jan Walston; son, Randy Walston and Angie Daughtry; daughter, Candie Willoughby and husband Jerome Willoughby; foster daughter, Brandy Walston; endearment consideration children, Ricky Wells, Peggy Collier and April Collier; grandchildren, Hunter and Jessi Willoughby, Angel Walston, Cody Willoughby, Logan Willoughby; considered beloved grandchildren, Kaylah Lee, Blake Foss;  brother, Luther Walston; sister, Hazel Wainwright and several other nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Adolph was a music lover of Bluegrass, Gospel and Country Western. He was self- taught (by ear) to play guitar and mandolin. He was naturally talented, gifted with a voice to sing and enjoyed performing for all.  He was one of the original founders of the Southwind Band. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, welding, gardening, small and large engine repairing and he loved animals. Peanut and Oakley were his beloved pets. He loved spending time with his pets, cutting his grass, being a hoot and a holler, cooking and grilling. and spending time with family and friends.  He will be sorely missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
