Annette Carter Sturgeon

Annette Carter Sturgeon, 75, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday at her residence. Born in Kinston, she is the daughter of the late Earl and Sudie Carter. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday in the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Marc Anderson.  The entombment will be in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of her daughter, Tammy Hill.

Mrs. Sturgeon is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hill and husband, Robert; stepson, Edwin Newsome; granddaughter Nikki Lambert and husband, Daniel; grandsons, Joey Joyner and wife, Ashlyn Bauer, Joshua Hill, and Thomas Sturgeon; great-grandson, Ayden Joyner, great-granddaughter, Emogene Lambert; brothers, Gerald Carter and Wayne Carter; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a special friend, Russ Henning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Hope Sturgeon; grandson, Cody Hill; and a brother, Earl Carter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home to help offset the cost of services.
