GPD: Step-Grandmother Charged With Misdemeanor Child Abuse

On May 1st, the Goldsboro Police Department received a DSS referral letter regarding a possible case of child abuse that occurred to three juveniles by a known subject.  On Thursday, a suspect was developed following further investigation by the GPD’s Criminal Investigations Division.  Warrants were secured on the step-grandmother of the juveniles, 35-year-old Keisha D. Tyson of Goldsboro.  Tyson turned herself in at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.  She is charged with three counts of Misdemeanor Child Abuse.  Tyson was processed for the charges and given a $1,500 secured bond.
