Two Juveniles Arrested For Goldsboro Robbery

Wednesday night, an anonymous caller reported two male juveniles robbed an unknown male at gunpoint while in the parking lot on the 500 block of E. Elm Street. Officers arrived, conducted field interviews on the scene, but were unable to substantiate the crime at that time.

On Friday, GPD officers reviewed video of the incident from the business and identified the two juvenile male suspects and the victim, 35-year-old Demario Young, as they robbed him. The officers generated an incident report with all the appropriate details. The Criminal Investigations Division of the Goldsboro Police Department initiated an investigation into the robbery that occurred. Based upon the officers’ reporting and identification of the juvenile suspects, authority to take both juveniles into custody for one count each of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon was approved.

Friday afternoon, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department took both juveniles into custody on the 800 block of Olivia Lane. The juveniles, aged 14 and 15, were transported to the Goldsboro Police Department. The Office of Juvenile Justice assisted with filing juvenile petitions and secure custody orders for both juveniles. The juveniles were charged with one count each of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Both were transported to Pitt Regional Detention Facility where they will remain pending a secure custody hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
