Raygen “Ray-Ray” Ball

Raygen “Ray-Ray” Ball

August 11, 2021, 15, La Grange –

Raygen “Ray-Ray” Ball crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Born in August of 2006, Raygen was “little sister” to her fur-sibling, Miss Rita.

Adopted by her human mom, Raygen wasn’t initially well-received by Miss Rita. Raygen began to gently and affectionately care for big sis until she won her over. The two have been inseparable since. From nap times to bath times, Raygen and Rita were always close by taking care of each other.

Raygen had the most bubbly personality and had more of prance than a walk. She was quite the diva, often sporting bows in her fur. She was never a fan of wet feet, dew on the grass, or thunderstorms. She did, however, love to get dressed up. Her seasonal and holiday costumes put an extra pep in her step, while her pajamas and raincoat were her more practical clothing options.

Too prissy to sleep on the floor, Raygen would snuggle up close to her mom or find the closest hamper to sleep in. Baskets, blankets, and pillows were perfect for this sleeping beauty. She was always one to snuggle and loved a belly pat more than life itself.

With a love for children, Raygen was a fierce protector over her cousin, Jameson. Whenever she was close by, Jameson was always safe. She was often his napping buddy and was always close by when anyone got “too close” to her favorite little one.

God chose Raygen to bring joy and spunk into her mom’s life. He chose her mom knowing she would offer Raygen a wonderful life and a loving home. From hand-fed meals to car rides, Raygen lived her best life with her mom, Carolyn, her best buddy and pet-sitter, Lisa, and her fur-sister, Rita. Though Raygen’s departure from our lives was swift and unexpected, the paw print she left on our hearts will remain “furever”.

Raygen was laid to rest near the home where she lived and the yard where she ran and played each day.

Raygen is survived by her mom, Carolyn Ball, and fur-sister, Miss Rita.
