Jeffry “Jeff” Thomas Arnette

August 12, 2021, 63, Goldsboro –

Jeffry “Jeff” Thomas Arnette unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany to Betty Marie Sutton Arnette and the late Walter David Arnette on November 22, 1957.

Sweet and gentle-natured as a child, Jeff brought much joy to his mother’s heart. He was a protective brother but was quite the prankster also. He had a keen sense of humor and found pleasure in putting a smile on someone else’s face.

With an eye for art and an ear for music, Jeff had a gift for the arts. From classical to contemporary, there wasn’t a genre he didn’t enjoy. Jeff was blessed with a talent for the acoustic guitar and sang in the church choir as well.

Time spent outdoors was never wasted. Jeff’s favorite place to be was on the green with a tee in the ground and club in hand. He enjoyed the salt and sand of the beach and was an avid advocate of animals.

Graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Jeff was a proud Pirate and member of the ECU Alumni Association. He was a longtime member of Adamsville Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his siblings, Dr. Michael D. Arnette, Beverly A. Clayton, Danny L. Arnette, and Paige M. Arnette; his daughter, Ellen Margaret Arnette; granddaughter, Allison Arnette; as well as two nephews and one niece.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. A celebration of life will be held privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
