Eastpointe Donates To Help Build Playground For Disabled Children

On Tuesday, Eastpointe CEO Sarah Stroud presented a $5,000 donation to Felecia Williams, Liaison to the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities, to help build a Goldsboro playground designed for children with disabilities.

“Eastpointe is focused on delivering whole-person care for our members with disabilities. To achieve this goal, we must invest in the communities we serve” Stroud explained. “The MCPD’s playground project helps provide whole-person care by giving children with disabilities, and their families, access to a safe space that will support both their physical and mental development. We are excited to help.”

Ms. Williams noted that “Eastpointe’s donation will help the MCPD deliver on its mission to ensure families with disabilities live in an accessible community. We are proud to have their support.”

Playground construction is set to begin this fall and will likely be completed in late 2021 or early 2022.
