August 2, 2021, 80, LaGrange –

Gerald Rouse, age 80, passed away Monday at Harmony Hall in Kinston, NC. Born in Lenior County, he was the son of the late Odell and Mamie Lee Harris Rouse. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann Vernon Bell. A 1960 graduate of Grainger High School, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was previously employed with Kinston High School as a janitorial engineer.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel in Goldsboro, NC with Rev. Terry Coates officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors. The family will visit with family and friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Rouse is survived by his son, Gerald Rouse, Jr. (Christy); his daughter, Rhonda Rouse (Sherrod Jones); his brother, Jimmy Rouse.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Fennittee Rouse and his brother, Tommy Rouse.
