Goldsboro’s list of mayoral candidates is already getting slimmer.
City Clerk Laura Getz announced Monday evening two of the applicants – Dexter Taylor and Trenton Haire – did not qualify based upon their residency outside of the Goldsboro city limits.
The eight other applicants were deemed eligible for consideration.
Those eight eligibleapplicants are:
- Stefanie Love Bostic
- Elton R. Brewington
- David Leonard Craig
- Walter David Ham
- Charles Edward Henry
- Alecia Britt Pierce
- Roderick Cornell White
- Kaelon M. Williams
The Goldsboro City Council plans to hear presentations from the eligible mayoral candidates at the August 2nd meeting.
The council may then appoint the new mayor at its meeting on August 16th.
