GPD: Suspect Charged For Dozens Of Storage Unit Break-Ins

Between January 21st and July 19th, the Goldsboro Police Department took 33 reports for storage unit burglaries at Compass Self Storage. These incidents occurred at both Compass Self Storage locations, on the 200 block of N. Berkeley Boulevard and the 1300 block of Parkway Drive.

Upon investigation into the breaking and entering cases by the GPD Investigations Division and with the assistance of the GPD “B” Shift, 30-year-old Joe Nathan Sharp of Seven Springs has been charged with 33 counts of Breaking and Entering, 33 counts of Felony Larceny, and 33 counts of Possession of Stolen Property. Sharp was already in the Wayne County Detention Center on unrelated charges. He was served with the warrants and was given a $125,000 secured bond.

The Goldsboro P.D. says additional suspects are expected to be charged in this case.
