Lou Ellen Warrick Grantham, 79, of Dudley passed away Friday morning at her residence surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of Thelma R. Warrick and the late Charles Bryant Warrick, and was the wife of the late Owen Pawnee Grantham. She was a prolific painter, enjoyed flower arranging, and a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at the graveside at 3:00 P.M. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Gentry and wife, Victoria VanLoon Grantham of Moncure and Tristan Destry Grantham of Dudley; grandchildren, Brittney Pettis and husband, Brian, Jessica Grantham, Melina Riddle and Brianna Williams and husband, Demetrius; great grandchildren, Briley and Brison Pettis; a sister Anne Long and husband, Bobby of Dudley; an uncle, Jerry Rivenbark of Wilson; sister-in-laws, Peggy Warrick of Dudley; Gail Grantham, Francis Grantham both of Grantham: Brother-in-law D.T. Grantham of Goldsboro; a special friend, Sandra Mooring of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.B. and Ronnie Warrick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Emmaus Baptist Church, 714 Emmaus Church Rd., Dudley, NC 28333.
