The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports two weekend drug arrests.
On Sunday, a Wayne County Sheriff’s patrol deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in the northern area of the county. The deputy encountered 50-year-old Stacey L. Mitchell of Goldsboro who was allegedly found to be in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Mitchell was arrested for Possession of Schedule II. She was given a $1,000 unsecured bond and left in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.
Also on Sunday, a Wayne County patrol deputy pulled a vehicle over for an equipment violation in the southern area of the county. 22-year-old Shelby L. McCoy of Goldsboro was reportedly found to be in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. McCoy was given a $1,500 secured bond for the charge of Possession of Schedule II. She was left in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.
