United Way To Host Professional Development Series

The United Way of Wayne County will host a series of free professional development trainings for nonprofits. The series is made possible by a grant from the NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service.  “This is a fantastic opportunity for UWWC to help strengthen our local nonprofit community. Wonderful work is being done right here in Wayne County and these trainings will improve our nonprofits’ ability to meet their mission and serve Wayne County in a stronger way”, said Sherry Archibald at UWWC Executive Director.

The series will offer monthly classes beginning in July with plans for them to continue through June 2022. Featured professional speakers include Vanessa Spiron of Spiron Consulting, Rebecca Whittle, local HR Professional and Recruitment Consultant, and Dustin Bannister from the University of Mount Olive to name a few. Topics will range from Board Development to Conflict Resolution. A full calendar of classes can be found at unitedwayne.org.

Nonprofits can register their staff, board members or volunteers by visiting unitedwayne.org. Attendees will also receive a free boxed lunch. Space is limited and reservations will be required.
