Ralph Anthony Barwick, 65, of Seven Springs passed away Saturday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. He was born in Wayne County to Reba Beamon Barwick and the late Ralph Barwick. Mr. Barwick was a handyman, he also enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, repairing motorcycles, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Anthony was deeply knowledgeable and gladly shared his knowledge and experiences. He was an avid gun collector.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Shumate Memorial chapel with Pastor Ralph Parker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Committal services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to his mother, Anthony is survived by his daughters, Mary Barwick Diaz of Seven Springs and Star Barwick and husband, Anthony Best of La Grange; a sister, Cindy Whitley and husband, Donald of Seven Springs; grandchildren, Aner Tulio Diaz, Anna Marie Diaz, Justin Ralph Barwick, and Dakota Best; great grandchildren, Zoey Paulina Diaz and Leah and Lila Elliott; a cousin, Jenny Rowe of Pikeville; nephews, Josh and Jeff Woodall and Jeremy and Matthew Whitley; and a special friend, Anthony Edwards.
