Harold Eugene Lane, 71, passed away Tuesday at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Wayne County on January 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Ronnie John Lane and Lillie Mae Lane.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Heather Marie Tucker; brothers, Allen Lane and Jasper Lane; and sisters, Chris Lozier, Marie Self, and Marilyn Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pat Lane; his great-grandson who was the light of his life, Garrett Tucker; brothers, Bryan Lane and Larry Lane; sisters, Betsy Bartlett and Deborah Wiggins; three step-sons; and one step-daughter.

A graveside service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Pineview Cemetery with his nephew, Andy Merrill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
